I have been obsessed with my goals and how to turn them into my reality.
I’ve been away from my blog for several weeks. In those weeks I have been practicing my daily goals and doing some traveling. But, I’ve also simply been too busy – again. I recognized this a few months back and then I fell right back into that way of being. I know that I don’t want to be busy, much less too busy — it’s exhausting, it’s not productive and leaves me unfulfilled.
To combat slipping into busy mode I start off my morning by journaling and listing the things I must do and the things I want to do. I include smaller daily and weekly goals. This gives me the satisfaction of having successes along the way and keeps me on track.
This purposeful and daily practice is intentional and mindful – and it is helping me to create the habits I need to reach my goals. I also have incorporated mediation and yoga into most of my mornings. The research I’ve done on meditation says it helps with focus and brain health and the yoga makes me feel strong.
Incorporating the following simple steps first thing in the morning energizes me and frees up my time to do the things that bring me joy and keeps me focused to reach my goals.
- Journaling
- Making a plan/list for the day
- Meditate and/or yoga
Cheers to a happy, creative and productive week again and most of all:
